Tom Burke is set to play Cormoran Strike in the upcoming BBC drama. The thirty five year old actor who hails from Kent is best known for his roles in BBC dramas The Musketeers and War and Peace.
The second BBC drama to be based on a JK Rowling novel, Cormoran Strike is the main character in the detective novels that she wrote under pseudonym Robert Galbraith. The hardened private investigator now stars in three novels and has the potential to be a very successful tv series.
Coming from an acting family Tom’s father played Watson in the 1980s tv series Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and mother Anna Calder-Marshall who played Cathy in the 1970 Wuthering Heights movie.
