Girl Meets World is set to air it’s finale episode this January but hope is not lost for fans of the Disney show who desperately want too see more of Riley and Maya.
The show first aired in 2014 (which my superior math skills tell me was three years ago) on the Disney channel as a continuation of the 90s sitcom Boy Meets World following Cory and Topanga’s daughter Riley Matthews and her adventures in New York.
The show made stars of Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter and had plenty of guest appearances by characters in the original series. All of whom look too be going together in the season three finale.
But early rumours circulated that the show could move to Freeform (formerly ABC Family – the place Boy Meets World originally aired-) meaning the show could potentially go to more places a Disney audience wouldn’t be able too. Also fans are keen to see the show on Netflix due to it’s large amount of top-quality show revivals.
And in the vein of shows like Jericho and Roswell whom sent things like peanuts and tabasco sauce too studios to show their support fans of Girl Meets World are enacting a viral paper airplanes campaign after the one in the shows credits. You can find more information about it here
