Veronica Mars, the teen noir turned mid-20s revival and still a beloved TV show for everyone who was a little bit weird during the 00s. It’s enduring popularity in part due to the witty writing and Kristen Bell’s characterization.
Veronica Mars had a revival movie funded by kickstarter in one of the websites most successful projects. In 2014 ten years after the first season aired the movie resolved most of the unfinished issues left by the show’s untimely cancellation.
Talking with TV Line former show runner Rob Thomas talked about the hopes and barriers:
Kristen and I both want to figure out some way we could do a six-episode Veronica Mars mystery. If I were a betting man, I bet that it will happen. I just don’t know when it will be.
Of course, both Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell have major network commitments in the form of The Good Place and the CW Lost Boys adaptation so it might be a while before we see Veronica Mars again.
