Riverdale: The killer will be revealed

Is it too soon, to say Riverdale is a runaway success? The CW adaptation of the Archie comics has everything we want from a TV show, drama, intrigue, hot people, and murder.

The show has drawn heavy comparisons to the Lynchian drama Twin Peaks. Both shows center around the death and investigation of a popular high school teenager in a creepy small town.

But one of the more disappointing aspects of Twin Peaks was how long it took to reveal the killer but it seems that Riverdale won’t be doing the same.

Talking at the recent WonderCon panel, narrator Cole Sprouse assured audience members the mystery surrounding Jason Blossom’s killer will be solved.

The audience knows and will know, who the killer is. The town will know who the killer is. And that narrative arc will be resolved season one.

There’ve been several theories floating around the interweb as to exactly what happened to Jason Blossom, with theories going from occultism to zombies (btw you can see our suspect run down right here)

The show has already wrapped filming meaning that the cast and crew do know how the season ends.

Camilla Mendes (Veronica) commented on the reveal saying

“My heart was beating so fast. it can’t be; it can’t be, and I was like, Oh my God, no — it is. I thought there was going to be some twist of events, there’s no way it’s that person.”

Meanwhile, KJ Apa was surprisingly chill in comparison

In the back of my mind, I was like, I knew that. I knew that was going to happen. I wasn’t too surprised.”

So who do you think killed Jason? Do you think he/she/it will get away with it?
