5 Pretty Little Liars spin-offs we wouldn’t mind watching

As we get ready to say goodbye to Pretty Little Liars we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to the cast of characters we’ve come to know and love (+ sometimes hate) over the years, so with that in mind we’re putting forward five spin-offs we wouldn’t mind seeing our fave liars in…

Real Housewives of Rosewood

Alison and Emily are seemingly in a time of bliss with a baby on the way and a stable income but can you see former HBIC Alison being happy with that forever? Hell No! As the Housewives franchise increases, it’d be easy to see Alison putting herself forward as the main star of the show with another group of women to control. Just think of her tagline.

Sister, Sister

A family friendly comedy harkening back to the TGIF sitcoms of the nineties but with a modern day twist! Two twenty-something twins are reunited after one of them may or may not have been behind years of online torture. Think pratfalls, slapstick and a whole lotta family fun.

After leaving Rosewood for a small fishing village off the coast of the Baltic sea Mona Vanderwaal ¬†wants nothing but a quiet life. But when people start turning up dead Mona can’t help but use her very particular set of skills in order to get to the bottom of it.

Grand Designs

After overhaulng the Radley into the hottest hotel this side of Pennsylvania Ashley Marin scours the country turning places with less than stellar reputations into chic hotspots for the young and affluent. Her first stop? The Hastings House.

To Catch a Predator

I mean…they could make more than one stop in Rosewood…

So the How I Met Your Mother spin-off is still happening

And in did anyone really ask for this news:

A How I Met Your Mother spin-off was planned for airing three years ago, just in time for the most disappointing finale in TV history. But it looked to have lost steam or been quietly shuffled off due to backlash.

Working title: How I met your Dad….

Now, some of the writers on weekly weepy This is Us are planning to restart the idea.

[Sidenote: All those people you run into a parties, coffeeshops and on the bus lamenting how hard it is to write an original screenplay…did any of them finish it? I’m not saying my barista’s handlebar moustache epic is ever going too win awards but like can we start just investing in new talent before TV begins to eat it’s tail]

The initial spin-off involved indie darling Greta Gerwig and Meg Ryan has her older self in a very similar set up, with slight differences such as the main character being divorced, a female Barney and a gay couple.

No word whether the new energy in the reboot will keep the same energy but hell it’s all just the same basic premise that still manages too be successful even after all these years so who can blame them.

The Game of Thrones ending or is it…

After much speculation HBO has announced that Game of Thrones will be ending in it’s 8th season in 2018. Meaning that we’ll potentially get the ending to the TV show before we get the next book.

Making the declaration the HBO head of broadcasting Casey Bloys made the statement on Saturday while not ruling out potential spin offs “we’re open to it, (the producers) aren’t opposed to it, but there’s no concrete plans right now”

So what kind of spin offs could Game of Thrones be privy to in the future:

  • Real Housewives of Kings Landing: Cersei Lannister takes on Lisa Vanderpumps role as HBIC and drinking plenty of wine
  • The Bachelorette of Westeros: When Dany eventually crosses the sea and *fingers cross* takes the iron throne she starts dating. Similar to the average Bachelorette but when you piss her off you meet the dragons
  • Rich Kids of Winterfell: Sansa Stark takes a much needed break from life to update her instagram account god knows she deserves it.
